Privacy policy

Our database stores the short code, the simplex link code and expiration date. The creation date is stored momentarily in order to show the short code creation result page without destroying the code when the self destruct option is enabled. As soon as the code is displayed the creation date is reset to 0. When a code with self destruct option is visited the record is deleted from the database regardless of the expiration date. Have this into account as it is a gotcha if you send the link via any app that shows a link preview thumbnail. To improve your anonymity you can connect via TOR service and use always a new profile to create 1-time invitation links for each code that you create.

This website is designed to be usable without any cookies or javascript enabled and does not load any external libraries or resources.

About

This service has been created to provide the convenience of being able to share short code links that can be communicated via a phone call, SMS message or a piece of paper.

Due to the nature of simplex links being quite long this makes them unsuitable for sharing in limited communication context. This convenience comes with a privacy trade-off since the link codes need to be stored in a database that connects them with the short codes.

You can use TOR to protect your IP address privacy and a new invite link for each code that you generate using a different temporary profile and only after validating the identity of the contact you added, you can invite your contact to another profile via the simplex chat conversation.
